No matter what you drive, you always want to be sure that your car is in excellent condition, and this is especially true for a luxury vehicle like the INFINITI Q50. And this is why putting it on a maintenance schedule is so important.

The Maintenance Schedule for the INFINITI Q50

5,000 Miles or Six Months

Many people are confused about when they need to get an oil change, but 5,000 miles is generally a good time. While the old rule of thumb was 3,000, thanks to improvements with oil, that no longer needs to be the case. However, if you take your INFINITI Q50 off-road or you live in a particularly dusty area, the 3,000-mark may still apply.

In addition to getting the oil changed, you should have the oil filter checked to see if it can be cleaned or needs to be replaced. It could also be a good idea to rotate your tires and have other things looked out, such as the brakes, suspension, and exhaust system.

10,000 Miles or 1 Year

When you get to 10,000 miles or one year, a multi-point inspection is important for your vehicle. This involves looking at the transmission, battery, and heating and cooling system to make everything is in great shape. This also allows technicians to notice things that could be a problem in the future and take care of them. Another important component is ensuring that all fluid levels are where they need to be.

15,000 Miles or 18 Months

Replacing the in-cabin microfilter in your INFINITI Q50 is important, as this keeps things like dust, pollen, and pollutants from getting inside. Generally, this gets clogged after about 15,000 miles or 18 months, and needs to be changed. Again, if you regularly drive in dusty or dirty conditions, it may need to be replaced sooner. This could be a good time to also install new windshield wiper blades or drive belts.
